Palouse is the geographic region of US northwest that encompass parts of north central Idaho, southeastern Washington, as well as parts of northeast Oregon. Palouse is a major agricultural area with over 6,000 miles of rolling hills of wheat, barley, lentils and canola. Palouse is the major wheat producing place in United States, it yields up to 100 bushels per acre, or some 125 million bushels a year, which is twice the national average! Palouse is also the largest producer of lentils in the world.
